Paradise City and Warrant at the Grizzly Rock, Lakewood, Colorado 072812 jasonsargo, 07/31/201207/20/2024 This was my first time shooting at the Grizzly Rock! It was so great to see an awesome new venue in the same building as After The Gold Rush and Hollywood Legends, where I saw so many great rock shows back in the day. Great staff, great drinks, GREAT SOUND, and great lighting…thanks to Corey Guildner for making this happen. Here’s to a LOT of future shows together! Paradise City just rocked their set with a dead-on cover of all the best Guns ‘N’ Roses songs, and it sounds like they really stepped up on short notice to help out the venue in place of an MIA scheduled opener. Seeing Warrant live was just stunning. I haven’t seen an 80’s/90’s hair/metal/rock band in a while, and to see the boys with Robert Mason on vocals just destroying the house was fantastic. I’m glad the pendulum is swinging a bit, and we’re not just stuck with “heritage” acts touring on the same hit album from 25 years ago. Seeing 20-somethings in the house and knowing Warrant’s new songs are totally worth picking up gives me hope… Make sure to click “(more…)” below to see all 100+ shots from the evening… These shots are going to look fantastic on my walls! Thanks a lot, Lewis! I can’t wait to see the next big band that plays there and try to catch some of those 80’s memories! Reply
