Alice Merton and Juliana Madrid at the Bluebird Theater, Denver, Colorado 05/16/2024 jasonsargo, 06/08/202408/26/2024 What a dream come true! I’m back, baby, and I picked a hell of an artist to shoot! I haven’t shot a concert in a while, but I’ve got some new glass, some new skills, and some new energy! I’ve been playing Alice Merton’s Frankfurt Radio Big Band performance basically on a loop for months at work for my patients , and at home with my wife, and think that Alice is one of the most amazing talents to command a stage. Indie/pop-rock, a capella, excellent studio production, interesting videos, and then simply amazing live with a tight band, or big band, or symphony? It’s something to behold, and I can’t wait to see what she does next. Alice Merton and her team were gracious enough to give me a photo pass, and I took their trust in me seriously. Three songs, 9+ minutes, 160+ shots and a few weeks in GIMP later, and I have some frame-worthy shots for my walls. I dare say a couple of these are poster-worthy. Thank you, Alice, for your passion and immense talent, and for the energy you let me capture in these shots. It was fantastic for me and my wife to chat with you for a minute after the show, and we told you how much your music means to us and your fans. I hope that I did your performance justice with these shots. And Juliana Madrid? Wow, another bright star in the constellation at Denver’s Bluebird Theater this night. Consider me a new fan. What can I shoot for you?
